About the App

1. You can build a DMG installer file for distribution of an AIR application on Mac OS. In AIR 2.5 and AIR 2.6, you can build a DEB or RPM installer file for distribution of an AIR application on Linux. Applications installed with a native application installer are known as extended desktop profile applications.
2. I right click on the file and select open with 'ADOBE AIR Application Installer' and nothing happens. I have the last version of Adobe Air installed. I also have an application called Adobe AIR Uninstaller, which I want to use to uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes things.

Install the App

1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
2. Run in Terminal app:
   ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null
   and press enter/return key.
   If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish.
3. Run:
   brew cask install adobe-air

Done! You can now use Adobe AIR.
